One Identity has appointed Gihan Munasinghe as chief technology officer, naming him to lead the identity security vendor’s technology strategy and product roadmap. The company announced the move today.

Munasinghe steps into the role as One Identity continues positioning its portfolio around identity-centric security, spanning identity governance and administration (IGA), privileged access management (PAM), and access management (AM). CEO Praerit Garg framed the appointment as an execution-focused move, saying, “One Identity’s rapid growth and innovation in Identity Security requires a deep and practical focus on executing.”

He replaces Andrew Hartnett, who had been serving as interim CTO. Prior to joining One Identity, Munasinghe held leadership roles in the identity security market, including chief product officer at identity governance provider Omada.

“In this new role, I look forward to helping the company scale up its product innovations and strategies while maximizing our impact on customers,” Munasinghe said.

Leadership changes at the CTO level can matter for enterprise buyers because they often accompany shifts in how vendors prioritize platform integration, product delivery cadence, and roadmap emphasis. Those themes are especially relevant as identity and access management providers continue tightening suites across governance, privileged access, and authentication to meet customer demand for fewer point solutions and more unified administration.

One Identity sells identity governance, privileged access controls, and access management capabilities designed for hybrid and cloud environments, serving enterprise customers with complex identity security requirements across regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and government.
