Dubai Police has expanded its network of Smart Police Stations (SPS) with the launch of its 27th fully automated facility at Dragon Mart, advancing the emirate’s comprehensive digital transformation initiatives. The new station operates around the clock without human staff, delivering 45 different police services through a digital interface in seven languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, and Chinese.

The facility enables both residents and visitors to access criminal and traffic services, certificates, permits, and community services through a completely self-service, contactless process. Users begin by authenticating their identity using an Emirates ID or passport, followed by mobile number verification via SMS. The verification process supports the UAE’s broader transition toward more secure authentication methods, as the banking sector prepares to implement app-based verification by 2026. For services requiring interaction, the station provides video connectivity to an on-duty officer. The location is equipped with scanners and printers for document processing, and users receive transaction reference numbers via SMS along with printed receipts.

“The SPS serves as an inspiration to governments around the world,” said Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, highlighting its implementation of future technology and data analytics to enhance digital readiness. According to official statistics, digital transactions through smart police stations have achieved an 89.6 percent adoption rate compared to other service channels.

The Smart Police Station initiative, which pioneered automated police services in the Middle East, represents Dubai’s ongoing implementation of AI-powered governance solutions. The development builds upon Dubai Police’s existing technological infrastructure, which includes advanced facial recognition systems and smart glasses for law enforcement. The system processes service requests by automatically routing them to relevant police departments for processing, demonstrating the emirate’s commitment to creating a fully digital government service ecosystem.
