HUB Cyber Security has outlined plans to debut a utility token, “HUB Token” (HUBT), as the native token for Trvsthub—an open-source, blockchain-anchored platform built around self-sovereign identity. General availability is targeted for the first quarter of 2026.
Trvsthub is positioned to reduce the compliance friction that weighs on stablecoin settlement, crypto payments, and cross-border remittances, where Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering checks can extend processing times and inflate fees. HUB frames the token as the commercialization layer for credential verification services across the network.
The design centers on user-held digital wallets and a “verify once, reuse everywhere” model. According to the company, the stack uses W3C Verifiable Credentials for attestations and zero-knowledge rollups so verifiers can check claims without exposing underlying data. Interoperability with major chains, including Ethereum and Polygon, is a stated goal.
Financial institutions have been moving toward reusable, privacy-preserving identity primitives to streamline onboarding and risk workflows, reflecting broader momentum behind SSI approaches in regulated payments.
