Japan’s Digital Agency has posted a new round of procurement notices that point to ongoing operational work across the country’s My Number-linked digital services stack and related high-volume platforms.
In the agency’s listings, two new "Notice of Procurement (subject to WTO)" items are dated January 7, 2026. One seeks an operator for the Mynaportal help desk. The other covers operation and maintenance services for fiscal 2026 Visit Japan Web Phase 2.
Mynaportal is the main citizen-facing interface for services connected to the My Number system, including access to government records and administrative procedures. Help desk procurement tends to sit in the background of digital identity programs, but it can signal a focus on support capacity and user experience as platform usage grows.
Visit Japan Web is positioned closer to travel entry workflows than to resident digital identity services. Even so, it intersects with border processing and identity assurance, and the Phase 2 operations contract suggests the government continues to treat it as a long-running national service rather than a short-term program.
The same procurement list also includes two notices dated December 26, 2025. One covers fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance for the Mynaportal application itself. Another relates to contracted operation and maintenance of a "common ID card issuance management system" for national government officers, pointing to continuing investment in credential issuance management and lifecycle infrastructure.
Overall, the postings emphasize the maintenance, support, and issuance systems that keep a digital government stack running after initial deployment.
