Digital security leader OneSpan Inc. has acquired Nok Nok Labs Inc., a pioneer in passwordless authentication technology, in a strategic move to enhance its authentication solutions portfolio. The acquisition, completed on June 5, 2025, combines OneSpan’s existing security offerings with Nok Nok’s expertise in FIDO (Fast Identity Online) standards. Nok Nok Labs, a founding member of the FIDO Alliance and early advocate for phishing-resistant authentication solutions, has been at the forefront of FIDO technology development since receiving its FIDO2 certification in 2019.
